See No Evil is investigating the murder of teenager Amber Meadows, who was one of three women kidnapped by Davide Hudson before she was shot dead in Beckley, West Virginia, in 2018.

During the early hours of July 9, 2018, the Beckley Police Department was called to a shooting incident at a Travelodge motel. When the officers arrived, they found that 19-year-old Amber had been shot in the head. She was declared dead at the scene.

The police later learned that Davide Hudson and three other men, Antonio Williams, Tyrique Pearl, and Jonathan Bird, had lured Amber and two other women, Destiny Conkle and Arileah Lacy, to a motel room with the promise of narcotics.

The women were then held hostage and repeatedly threatened by Hudson, who eventually carried out a threat by shooting Amber.

The cops quickly got Williams, Pearl, and Bird into custody but had to appeal for public help before Hudson was arrested.

The investigators learned through Conkle and Lacy that Hudson had been the one to pull the trigger.

Williams, Pearl, and Bird agreed to plead guilty to kidnapping, and the latter two men testified against Hudson during his trial.

Lacy and Conkle described a terrifying situation where Hudson played Russian Roulette with the captives, toyed with them and repeatedly said, “You could die, you could die, you could die.”

Lacy later told a court, “He said ain’t nobody leaving or I’ll kill everybody, even my homeboys stop they would understand the situation.”

Conkle said she heard Amber and Hudson arguing when suddenly there was a gunshot.

Accomplice Pearl told the court of a terrifying moment when Hudson then said they had to kill the other two women. Pearl said, “He says we got to kill the rest of them. I look at him, and I say, ‘bro, you are tripping,’ and I ran out of the room.”

Davide Hudson sentenced to life for Amber Meadows murder

Hudson was eventually found guilty on three counts of kidnapping, first-degree murder, use of a firearm, and conspiracy to commit kidnapping and murder. He was sentenced to life in prison.

At his sentencing, Hudson apologized to Amber’s family while maintaining his innocence. He said, “Your Honor, I want to take the time to apologize to Amber Meadows, her family and everyone involved. I want to use this as a life-changing lesson and move forward to become a better man no matter what tomorrow may bring.”

Williams pleaded guilty to kidnapping and voluntary manslaughter and received 20 years. Pearl and Bird were both sentenced to three years probation and supervision for their role in the crime.
