Snapped: Killer Couples is examining the murder of Aaron Friar, who was beaten to death by Gavin MacFarlane while he slept in his home in Medford, Oregon.

MacFarlane was assisted in the murder by his friend Russell Jones and Aaron’s daughter, Ellen Friar, whom he was dating.

Aaron disapproved of 19-year-old Aaron’s relationship with his 15-year-old daughter, and this caused considerable tension between the three that led the young couple to murder him.

In the early hours of October 2, 2017, the Medford cops were asked to perform a welfare check on the Friar’s home, where they found evidence of a disturbance. And there was no sign of 50-year-old Aaron or his car.

Later that day, Aaron’s car was found abandoned on a residential street about five miles from his home.

An hour later, the police located Ellen Friar, MacFarlane, and Jones walking in the town and detained them on suspicion of being involved with Aaron’s disappearance.

The following day, investigators recovered Aaron’s body from behind a dirt embankment on a rural route to the east of Medford.
